According to Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, the government is working in two directions - to encourage local production and to transfer production companies from large industrial hubs to Georgia.
According to Turnava, all this will be reflected in the post-crisis plan that the government is working on.
"Today, the Prime Minister spoke in his introductory speech about the post-crisis strategy, one of the cornerstones of which will be our renewed investment policy. I can say that there are two main directions: it is to encourage local production in order to reduce our dependence on imports as much as possible. Our aim is to bring global companies and other industrial hubs from China to us. There will be a specific, encouraging package for this, which we will discuss within the framework of the strategy, ”Turnava said.
