Pension Agency of Georgia published the financial report. According to the report, 1,145,808 citizens are engaged in the pension system now.
Under the law, citizens over the age of 40 could leave the system.
As of the document, a total of 169,151 citizens left the pension fund in 2019-2020. Among them, 165,570 people left the system in 2019, so the volume of the money returned to employees, employers and the state totaled GEL 58,245,000.
At present, the assets of the Pension Fund amount to 1.5 billion GEL, of which 150 million GEL is the interest accrued on citizens' pension savings.
