Georgia Ranks The 1st In The Budget Transparency Index For The First Time This Year – PM
Georgia ranks 1st in the budget transparency index for the first time this year, while Ukraine and Moldova are on the 21st, and 22nd places, - said Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili during the presentation of the annual report.
“Georgia is twice ahead of Ukraine and Moldova in Worldwide Governance Indicator. We have already told you about the open budget index, not Ukraine and Moldova. We are in the first place in the worldwide. For the first time this year, the country took first place in the budget transparency index. Ukraine and Moldova are in the 21st and 22nd places," Gharibashvili said.
He also spoke about the Fraser Institute and the indicators of the Heritage Foundation.
"I will continue according to the Fraser Institute's world economic freedom rating, Georgia is in the 5th place in the world, Ukraine is in the 129th place and Moldova is in the 66th place. According to the Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom, Georgia ranks 26th in the world in terms of global demand and 18th in the region, Ukraine ranks 130th and Moldova 78th," he said.
