We Need State Support For The Development - Tbilisi Balneological Resort

The executive director of Tbilisi Balneological Resort asks the state to promote balneological resorts in worldwide As Salome Kudashvili states, there are resources to meet the high demand, but it remains low.

According to her, 25% of their customers are foreigners, and Tbilisi balneological resort is visited both from the countries of the region and from France.

"I think we need the support of the state for the development of balneological resorts, I mean marketing activities. We have invested quite a lot with our resources and at this stage, we employ 165 persons. 25% of our customers are tourists, but we have the opportunity to increase this number by 100%," says the Executive Director of Tbilisi Balneological Resort, Salome Kudashvili.

The government handed over Tbilisi Balneological Resort to the company Ialoni in 2017.

According to the resolution of the Government of Georgia, an exchange agreement was signed between the company and the National State Property Agency. In particular, the company was obliged to create at least a 30-room hotel on the site and invest at least GEL 8 million.

In February 2015, the authorities brought Tbilisi Balneological Resort for privatization.
