The Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in Georgia amounted to USD 728.4 million in 3Q2021, which was 3.2% more compared to the data of 3Q2020, - the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reports. According to the report, USD 613 million or 84% out of the FDI accounted for the reinvestment.
The Minister of Economy Natia Turnava assessed the FDI statistics of 9 months and emphasized that the reinvestment rate has doubled. The Ministry of Economy states that the volume of reinvestment in the third quarter of 2021 doubled amounting to $ 293.3 million.
"This means that a foreign investor who enters Georgia and invests, instead of withdrawing dividends, reinvests in the Georgian economy, expands production, his own business, which is a sign of strong confidence," - said Natia Turnava.
