Colliers International updated report on residential real estate transactions. As of the report published on the RECOV.GE, in April 2021, 3,103 transactions were registered in Tbilisi, that is 18% higher than 2019.
According to the reports, as for the market size, the figure stands at USD 140 million, reflecting a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2019. It should be noted that the data of 2020 is not representative as the public registry was closed in April 2020.
“In April 2021, 2,049 transactions were registered in new projects, that is 21% higher than the same period in 2019. While the number of transactions registered on old flats has increased by 12% compared to 2019.
In April 2021, the market size of new flats has increased by 15% when compared to 2019. As for the old flats, the figure stands at USD 45 million, increasing by 17%.
The number of transactions recorded on economy new apartments saw 34% increase compared to 2019. As for the medium segment the number of transactions has decreased by 21% compared to 2019. On the other hand, the figure for premium segment has increased by 39% compared to 2019”, the report reads.
