The Georgian government has announced the imposition of new regulations. The Coordination Council of the Government has adopted a number of restrictions in response to the epidemic.
According to the decision of the Coordination Council, from August 14 to September 4, for 3 weeks, the following restrictions will apply:
• Municipal traffic will be restricted. The restriction does not apply to intercity transport;
• Festivals, entertainment events, concerts and sports competitions will be restricted;
• Restrictions on children's entertainment centers;
• Operation of restaurants and cafes will be allowed until 23:00 pm; instead of 00:00 pm
• Public agencies are instructed to shift employees to remote work as much as possible, and the Board makes a similar recommendation to private sector employers;
• Brigades staffed by military physicians will be involved in the vaccination process to maximize and increase access to vaccination; In the conditions of restriction of municipal transport, the state ensures regular transportation of the population to the main vaccination facilities;
• The Ministry of Health continues to work on the mobilization of extra beds;

• The control over the implementation of the current regulations will be tightened as much as possible, including the holding of such social events as weddings and etc. For hosting such events, the facilities will be fined 10 thousand GEL, and in case of repeated violations - will be subject to closing.
At today's meeting of the Coordinating Council, the head of the National Center for Disease Control recommended that from September, food, spas, fitness centers and similar facilities be allowed to receive customers with single vaccination or full course of vaccination, or those who have PCR performed in the last 72 hours or 24 hours. The council will discuss the issue and inform the public about the decisions made.
