From tomorrow, restrictions will be imposed in Tbilisi and Imereti due to the growing coronavirus infection cases. The Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia, stated about it after the Interagency Council of the Government session.

"It seems that the number of cases will exceed 1000 per day in the coming days. The rest of the world mostly has a Lockdown approach. However, we have an approach. Our goal is to get out of the crisis in a way that does minimal damage to our citizens' health and economy. We are determined to use point constraints. We have decided that restaurants and entertainment establishments in Tbilisi and Imereti will be limited from 22:00," Giorgi Gakharia said.

919 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. 366 cases were detected in Tbilisi, 286 in Adjara, and 104 in Imereti.
