Nodar Giorgadze, founder and holder of GINO Holding told BM.GE, that they temporarily closed all businesses in Georgia amid pandemic.

According to Giorgadze, those businesses in Georgia was not profitable even before the pandemic. Moreover, the investor invested millions of lari in their development.

However, Gino Holding unites two hotels in Rabati and Mtskheta, as well as aqua park Gino Paradise on Tbilisi Sea.

"Amid pandemic, it got difficult for me to do the business in Georgia, because everything was closed here, except for construction. Today Hotels "Gino Wellness Mtskheta", "Gino Wellness Rabati" and "Gino Paradise" are closed. Although we had the right to operate in summer, the season turned out very weak because people were scared. I tried for a few months to cover all expenditures with my own finances, including the employees’ salaries. But from October to November, because everything is closed, we have managed to keep merely 35% -40% of the employees, I have been forced to send the rest on unpaid leave; It was a very difficult decision for me, because their families are behind the employees. Our expenditure amounts to over 1.5 – 2 million GEL due to the pandemic, this is such sum, which cannot be taken in the nearest future”, founder of Gino Peredise declared.
