In order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), from today routed minibuses will suspend operation both in regions as well as inter-city for a while, according to the Georgian government’s decision.
However, public transport – busses and metro – will serve passengers.
Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze said that busses and metro will be disinfected on a daily basis.
Georgia has confirmed 37 cases of COVID-19. 1130 are quarantined, while 81 are under hospital observation.
