Russia-China Trade Turnover Decreased by 9.5%

Russia's Trade with China in Q3 2020 amounted to US$25.3 B, out of which exports amounted to US$10.8 B and imports - US$14.5 B. Total trade in the reporting period has decreased by 9.5% compared to the same period last year.
 
According to Ru-Stat, export from Russia to China in 3rd quarter, 2020 amounted to US$10.8 B, decreasing by 19.9% compared to the same period last year. The list of the mainly exported goods, included: 62% - mineral products, 8% - wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal; cork and articles of cork, 6% - base metals and articles of base metal, 4% - machinery and mechanical appliances; electrical equipment; sound and television, 4% - live animals; animal products, 3% - hidden partition, 3% - pulp of wood; recovered paper and articles thereof, 3% - plastics and articles thereof; rubber and articles thereof, 2% - products of the chemical or allied industries and 2% - animal or vegetable fats and oils and their cleavage products.
 
Import to Russia from China in 3rd quarter, 2020 amounted to US$14.5 B, an increase of +0.29% over the same period last year. Mainly imported goods included: 51% - machinery and mechanical appliances; electrical equipment; sound and television, 10% - textiles and textile articles, 7% - base metals and articles of base metal, 6% - miscellaneous manufactured articles, 5% - products of the chemical or allied industries, 5% - plastics and articles thereof; rubber and articles thereof, 4% - vehicles, aircraft, vessels and associated transport equipment, 3% - optical, photographic, measuring, musical, medical instruments and apparatus; clocks, 3% - footwear, headgear, umbrellas, sun umbrellas, seat-sticks, whips and parts thereof and 2% - articles of stone, plaster, cement, asbestos or similar; ceramic products; glass and glassware.
