According to the National Bank, Russia is the leader in tourism revenues with USD 116.1 million. The second place is occupied by Saudi Arabia with USD 44.2 million, and the third place by Turkey - with USD 43.8 million. The EU countries are in the fourth position with USD 43.6 million, and Belarus is in the fifth place with USD 33.5 million.
In total, the country earned more than USD 1.6 billion from tourism in 7 months of this year, the National Bank included Great Britain as part of the EU countries when calculating the income. According to the National Tourism Administration, about 598 thousand visits were made to Georgia in July, which was 32% less than the pre-pandemic period.
