Russian citizens concluded 68 real estate purchase deals in Armenia in 2022 March, the largest number of such deals concluded by foreigners, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
The citizens of USA concluded 30 property purchase deals, 22 such deals were concluded by the citizens of European states, 12 - by the citizens of CIS countries (except for Russia), 1 - by the citizen of Iran, 7 deals were concluded by the citizens of other states. Overall, foreign citizens concluded 140 real estate purchase deals in Armenia in March, 2022.
Most of the deals concluded by foreigners were in the capital Yerevan (79 deals), the least were in Lori region (3 deals) and no deals were concluded in Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions.
During the reporting month, foreign citizens sold 300 properties in Armenia, including 221 properties by citizens of Russia, 29 - by citizens of USA, 19 - by citizens of European states, 14 - by citizens of CIS countries (except for Russia), 6 - by Iran, 1 - by Syria, 10 deals were completed by citizens of other states.
As a whole, in March 2022 some 4,859 home sale and buy deals were concluded in the country, down from 4, 883 in March 2021. The bulk - 1,710 (35.2% of total) - were concluded in Yerevan and the least - 76 (1.6%) in Vayots Dzor province, ARKA reports.
