“The Draft State Budget 2022 provides the funds for the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, and the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure increased compared to the taxes approved in 2021”, - the reporter, First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze stated at the sitting.

The draft provides GEL 741,0 million for the Economic Ministry – increased by GEL 98,2 million, where GEL 273,3 million will be consumed on entrepreneurship, GEL 120,0 million for highland resorts, including infrastructure for the World Championship 2023 and new Hatsvali cableway, GEL 22,7 million for tourism, up to GEL 15,3 million for innovations and technologies, up to GEL 34,0 million for internet provision, GEL 80,2 million for electricity transmission lines and up to GEL 50,0 million for gas supply; funds for the Regional Ministry have been increased by GEL 2 844,0 million – GEL 387,3 million more than assignments for 2021, the greatest part of which – GEL 1,862,3 million will be consumed on road infrastructure.

At that, GEL 463,8 million will be consumed on regional and municipal infrastructure, GEL 379,9 million for water supply infrastructure, GEL 49,5 million for solid waste management, and GEL 75,0 million for general education infrastructure.

According to the reporter, the deficit in the budget 2022 shall be reduced to 4,4%, economic growth is planned at 6%, and nominal GDP for 2022 constitutes GEL 64,7 billion.

The upper ceiling of the Governmental debt is defined by 52,1% of GDP, and the sum total of the incomes is increased by GEL 750,9 million to constitute GEL 18 683,9 million.

The Committee approved the draft with the majority of votes.
