In January-September 2022, the average monthly nominal salary of wage earners in Baku was 1,065.5 ($626.76) manats.
Report informs, citing the Baku City Statistics Department, that this is up 13.5% from the same period of 2021.
For the state of October 1, 2022 number of employees engaged in the country economy compared to the same period of the previous year increased by 28,6 thsd. persons or 1,7 percent and made 1727,9 thsd. persons, 898,0 thsd. of them were the employees of the public sector and 829,9 thsd. persons were the employees of the non-public sector, reads the latest data of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
19,1 percent of employees were engaged in education, 18,6 percent in trade; repair of transport means, 12,7 percent in industry, 8,2 percent in health and social services provided to population, 7,5 percent in construction, 6,5 percent in public administration and defence; social security, 4,3 percent in transport and warehouse, 3,6 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3,5 percent in professional, scientific and technical activity, 2,0 percent in finance and insurance and 14,0 percent in other fields of economy.
On January-September 2022 average monthly nominal salary of employees engaged in the country economy increased by 14,4 percent and made 827,4 manats ($486). Average monthly nominal salary in the sphere of mining industry, finance and insurance, professional, scientific and technical activity as well as information and communication was higher.
