Georgia purchased 6,066 tons of coffee worth USD 22 million this year.

According to official statistics, the value of purchased goods has increased by about 48.5% compared to the value of imports in January-October last year. The imports volume is 965 tons more. This means that coffee has become more expensive in the international market.

Indonesia was the main importing country of roasted or unroasted coffee in 10 months of this year.

1. Indonesia - USD 7.7 million, 3 143 tons;
2. Russia - USD 2.7 million, 506 tons;
3. Germany - USD 2.5 million, 359 tons;
4. Italy - USD 2.4 million, 212 tons;
5. Vietnam - USD 1.7 million, 691 tons;
6. Armenia - USD 962 thousand, 278 tons;
7. Turkey - USD 692 thousand, 91 tons;
8. Uganda - USD 597 thousand, 240 tons;
9. Switzerland - USD 543 thousand, 158 tons;
10. Netherlands - USD 437 thousand, 72 tons;

In 2022, the exports of coffee from Georgia became active and the value of 406 tons of unroasted coffee amounted to USD 1.5 million. The increase compared to the same period of the previous year was 343.4%. Half of the exports - 160 tons of coffee worth USD 782 thousand were local products, while 246 tons of coffee worth USD 734 thousand were re-exports. Exports were mainly made to Russia (USD 1.3 million, 382 tons). The country exported a small amount of coffee to Armenia, Iran, USA, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Azerbaijan and other countries.
