Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection, Zurab Azarashvili declares that companies can no longer artificially increase medicine prices for consumers.

According to him, determining pricing at reference prices is a proven method in different countries where 4-5 countries are selected, which gives a reference price in the [importing] country. As he notes, this is the maximum upper limit on medications, taking into account all margins. This will stabilize the artificially increased prices caused by marketing costs in medicines.

“As a result, pharmaceutical companies can no longer artificially increase medicine prices, because we will control it fully”, - the minister stated.

According to Azarashvili, in case of restriction of access to Turkish medicines in the pharmacies, there is a hotline of the Ministry, that citizens can call.
