Business Association of Georgia (BAG) responds to a report, published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). According to the IMF, 20% tax income is a disproportionately heavy burden for low-income earners.

The CEO of BAG says that the idea of reducing income tax for certain groups is acceptable to them, but not at the expense of new taxes. However, who can be considered as such an entity is still unknown and it is difficult for the business to predict.

Levan Vepkhvadze talks about other risks as well.

"There are two problems: on the one hand, some entities do not want to show low salaries and on the other hand, when the budget lacks some funds, then they start thinking about where to fill this gap. Therefore, it is important, this decision not to become an additional pressure on the business, "- said Levan Vepkhvadze.
