Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze declares that the Chinese vaccine Sinipharm does not face trust issues.
She stated this at the press conference held at the National Center for Disease Control. The Press conference was attended by Tamar Gabunia, Deputy Minister of Health, NCDC Head Amiran Gamkrelidze and Chinese Ambassador to Georgia Li Yan
100,000 doses of Chinese Sinopharm were distributed to Georgia.
The Minister thanked the Chinese Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia for their work in obtaining the vaccine.
“Sinopharm does not face trust issues, more than 40 million people got Sinopharm jab worldwide. The vaccine is already awaiting authorization from the WHO. We have an intensive correspondence with the World Health Organization on the issue and we will decide on the council when the Chinese vaccine will be available in Georgia," Ekaterine Tikaradze said.
