Soso Pkhakadze, President of the Business Association of Georgia, does not support the idea of abolishing Business Ombudsman Institute.
The point is that independent MP Levan Koberidze proposes to abolish the Institute of Business Ombudsman.
“Generally, any business environment is created by people. We are not European country yet and it will take years to create such a business environment, which will bring very high economic growth and unemployment will be very low. So, I do not consider it right to abolish Business Ombudsman Institute, "- Soso Pkhakadze has said, adding that BAG will continue to work with future Business Ombudsman, as they have worked with Irakli Lekvinadze.
“We have been working very effectively with this institution from the very first day. I think the cooperation between us was very interesting and it will continue. Of course, we will meet anyone who will become a business ombudsman and continue to work in a professional format, which I think will bring even more positive to the country,” the BAG President said.
To note, Irakli Lekvinadze resigned from the position of Business Ombudsman yesterday. Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has not announced a new business ombudsman yet.
