The way Georgia’s government is handling the economic downturn so far is mainly relying on external factors, be it grants or loans and this can be potentially dangerous in the future – Czech Ambassador Petr Mykiska told The Checkpoints in an exclusive interview, conducted by Tamta Jijavadze.

According to the Czech Ambassador, the government should keep in mind how sustainable this approach is; what the development of the pandemic will be, how long it lasts, and how the external world reacts. “We have certain recommendations in this sense” – Petr Mykiska told The Checkpoints: “The main recommendation for the government is to spend this money – both inflows and grants – wisely, meaning to invest it in the future development”.
