The number of COVID-19 cases in Georgia is significantly decreasing and the stabilization trend is obvious, Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia told reporters.

As Gabunia points out, the daily infection rate ranges from 100 to 150.

"The number of cases in Georgia is significantly decreasing, the tendency of stabilization is obvious. Testing is ongoing. The rate of infection per day does not exceed 100 to 150 cases. Total statistics will be published once a week. It is still important to continue and expand the vaccination program. We have vaccinated 34% of the population as of today, which is not enough protection if there is still a risk of some mutation," Gabunia said.
