National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) publishes monthly figures of the subsistence minimum. According to the latest data, in February 2020 subsistence minimum has increased compared to January 2020.
• January 2020 – Subsistence minimum for working-age male – GEL 197.0
• February 2020 – Subsistence minimum for working-age male – GEL 199.0
As of February 2020 data, subsistence minimum distributed by type of household:
• For single-member household – GEL 176.2
• For two-member household – GEL 282.0
• For three-member household – GEL 317.2
• For four-member household – GEL 352.5
• For five-member household – GEL 396.5
• For six and more member household – GEL 468.8
The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) has been calculating the subsistence minimum based on the minimum consumer basket.
