Tbilisi municipality budget will have a debt of GEL 679 million late this year, - according to the State Budget for 2021.
As of the first version of the next year’s draft budget, the debt will increase to GEL 8 billion by the end of 2022. This version of the budget is already submitted to the City Council. As a result, the debt of the Tbilisi Municipality budget will increase by GEL 328 million next year.
City Hall is taking a new debt for two projects - one is intended for the purchase of buses and the debt volume is GEL 300 million, while the other is for the municipal service project, on which GEL 34 million will be spent.
