Company Nardi Group plans to build a snail meat processing plant in the village Khibula, Samegrelo region. The company considers plan expansion for summer-fall this year.

Merab Nadaraia, founder of Nardi Group told BMG, that negotiations are underway with a Norwegian company, which plans to make an investment in Samegrelo. Over 1,5 million EUR should be spent on the production expansion. But, how much will be the co-funding of Norwegian partner is not known at this stage.

“We plan to apply state projects, including Enterprise Georgia and then we will make a decision on the allocation of funds. We plan to process snail meat and produce semi-ready products, including cosmetics”, Nadaraia declared.

According to the businessman, the new enterprise will be put under operation from fall.

Snail farm was built in Khobi in 2017 and an investment of 1,8 million GEL was made.
