The delegation of “Georgian Railway” headed by David Peradze attended the meeting of the International Association of “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), Association TMTM” in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The members of the association summarized the results of 2019.
It was noted that in 2019 the container freight shipped in the Caspian Sea has increased by 71% (10.7 thousand TEU) and this is a record level of shipping in this corridor. In addition, the feeder line service launched in April 2019 significantly increased the amount of cargo in the (Middle Corridor) and reduced container shipping time.
The new members of the Association TMTM have become the Chinese company “ Xi’an Continental Bridge International Logistics Co., Ltd and the Kazakhstan ”Actau Marine North Terminal”.
At the meeting members agreed on 2020 tariff policy.
