The Budget And Finance Committee Approved The Draft State Budget 2021

The Committee discussed the Draft State Budget 2021, introduced by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze.

“The incomes get increased with GEL 349 million at the account of the tax incomes. Besides, we have reduced the loan index with GEL 150 million. The mixed budget shows a deficit, which in nominal expressed remains unchanged, however, deriving from the GDP growth, percentage reduces from 6,9% to 6,7%. The tax incomes also increase with GEL 300 million. As to the expenditures, they are increased with GEL 297 million to constitute GEL 19 billion 976 million ”, - he stated emphasizing three main directions of increased finances: Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection; Ministry of Defense; and Accumulative Pension Funds.

The Health Care Ministry will have assignments increased with GEL 376 million to constitute GEL 6 468,9 million, which is entailed due to the pandemic.

The assignments for the Defense Ministry are increased with GEL 60 million, and the assignments for the accumulative pension scheme – with GEL 16 million to constitute GEL 236 million.

The Deputy Auditor General, Eka Gazadze and the Vice-President of the National Bank, Archil Mestvirishvili introduced their opinions.


The Committee approved the draft.
