The budget of the capital for 2021 has been increased by 78 million GEL. The relevant decision was made at the Tbilisi City Council session.

Gaioz Talakvadze, Head of the Financial City Service of the City Hall, presented the amendments to the Tbilisi financial document.

According to him, the budget of the capital was increased by 78 million GEL and was set at 191 million 310 thousand GEL. The head of the municipal service noted that out of the increased GEL 78 million, GEL 30 million is a central government transfer, while the rest is various revenues.
 
According to the Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council Giorgi Tkemaladze, the budget of the current year in the capital is unprecedentedly high and meets all the requirements of our city. Giorgi Tkemaladze thanked the central government for the transfer.
 
"The budget for 2021 is unprecedentedly high. These are more opportunities for the development of our city. I would like to thank the central government for this transfer. The increased budget is focused on priorities as much as possible, ”said Giorgi Tkemaladze.
 
The increased budget of the capital will be redistributed to the following priorities and directions: infrastructure projects, transport infrastructure improvement measures, city passenger transport subsidy, landscaping and cleaning measures, health and social measures, promotion of pre-school facilities, development of pre-school facilities.
 
In addition, a new program was added to the budgeted list - Disaster Relief Measures Due to Heavy Rain on June 13-14, 2015.
