The Human Rights and Civil Integration and the Legal Issues Committees discussed the Bill on Tobacco Control, which provides the efficient regulation of certain legal relations in the tobacco control sphere.
According to one of the initiators, Vladimir Kakhadze, smoking is prohibited in public transport but this list is supplemented by taxi, cable and sea vehicles.
Smoking is also prohibited in a private vehicle when it transports minors.
“Certain issues have been revealed during the enforcement of December 15, 2010, Law, requiring re-regulation and correction of certain norms. Besides, certain legal relations have been outlined in the tobacco control sphere to also be regulated”, - he stated.
