Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia charges the Finance Minister to consider the possibility of lowering the lending threshold of 200,000 GEL before the next government meeting.
"We frequently make statements that the biggest challenge and goal of our country will be economic growth in the coming years. Everything that happens in our social or political life becomes into destabilization, goes to the streets and takes the form of illegal actions. Surely, it is directly affects our economic life. Those irresponsible politicians do not take into account the most important dimension -country’s development and economic growth, including creation of working places. We, as the responsible power and government, must take some steps to respond such challenges.
Therefore, today I would like to charge the Minister of Finance to consider reduction of the lending threshold of GEL 200,000 in national currency to GEL 100,000.
In addition, I would like to call on the National Bank actively to use all tools at thier disposal to ensure price stability and inflation targeting", the Prime Minister said.
