According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, a new sub-program was approved at today's government session within the framework of the state program - "Enterprise Georgia", which provides technical assistance for exports.

"Together with the business and in the process of communication with them, we have established that now the main challenge for them in the foreign market is to overcome technical barriers. Such as: quality assurance, obtaining various certifications and licenses. Technical obstacles refrain our exporters from supplying even more products to foreign markets.

We think the government should help this field. Accordingly, the program includes three new components to facilitate exports. This is assistance in product licensing-certification - in the amount of 20 thousand GEL for each beneficiary; Assistance in branding and packaging of products - also in the amount of 20 thousand GEL per beneficiary and third - assistance in stimulating international sales, which includes branding, development of new sales strategies, etc.," - said Natia Turnava.
