The Law does not recognize the seasonal factors – Imnadze on using water cannons amidst pandemic “Any type of gathering has a negative effect on the epidemiological situation if the elementary rules – such as social distancing and wearing a face-mask are not adhered to” – Deputy Head of NCDC Paata Imnadze stated today, adding that it is not important how we will name the gathering.
He commented on yesterday’s protest and stated that rules must be applied. On the question of whether or not it is important that doctors define the risks associated with using water cannons to disperse protesters amidst the pandemic, Imnadze answered: “First of all, let me state that each person has the responsibility to abide by the law and unfortunately, the law does not recognize the seasonal factors. This is my answer” – Imnadze added.
