TV-companies will pay accumulated old arrears with agreed schedule during 5 years, - Ivane Machavariani, minister of Finance has declared about it.
According to him this is TV-companies offer and supposedly, the Ministry will agree on that.
The matter concerns that the Minister did not come at the Committee Meeting, as he explained he made a statement about that issue on February 20.
“As you know, big TV-companies have not been paying taxes in recent years, but we have demanded to them to pay taxes by October 1, 2019. This approach has yielded instant results and so far, more than 5 million dollars have flowed. This year we estimate that 22 million will go into the budget. In this case we are making great progress. Earlier, there were no such equal conditions. As for old debts, TV-companies will pay accumulated old arrears with agreed schedule during 5 years. As for current taxes, TV Pirveli pay scheme. Today all television are on equal condition,” Machavariani said.
To remind, the matter concerns to the debt of three TV-companies: "Rustavi 2" - 28 million GEL, "Imedi" - 19 million GEL and "Maestro" - 8 million GEL.
