The 73% of respondents believes that low spread of COVID-19 in the country is the result of correct measures taken by the government and doctors; the 71% believes that this is attributed to Georgian genetics and religion, the survey conducted by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) reports.
According to the NDI, 30% think that the virus was created in the laboratory and spread artificially while 22% think that it was created in the laboratory but the virus itself spread naturally.
On the other hand, 13% think that the virus occurred naturally.
The survey was carried out during the period of June 26-30 across Georgia by phone with participation of representative sample of 1,550 adults. The margin of error is +/-2%.
