The Parliament discussed with the I reading and approved with 79 votes the Bill on Local Fees, allowing the tax-payers to appeal to the municipality for the apportionment of the fees.

Pursuant to the current edition, the term for the apportionment of the payment for the “fee for the issue of the special (zonal) agreement” is determined no later than January 1, 2020, while the changes determine the term as of January 1, 2025, with the similar reservations. According to one of the initiators, Beka Davituliani, the expiration of the apportionment term suspends the operation of the premises.

“It concerns the facilities, which have had K2 coefficient acquired, however, have not paid the respective fee to the budget. Hence, it impedes the set of the facilities to operation since the constructor is unable to pay the respective sum envisaged under the fee. There are 25 such facilities and we appeal to extend the apportionment term to January 1, 2025”, - he stated.
