“In 2021, 11, 194 employers have been registered in the pension administration system; as a result, the total number of the registries as of December 31, 2021, constitutes 1,235,938 and the total amount deposited to the Agency - 1,782,134,866.25 GEL”, - the Director of the LEPL Pension Agency, Giorgi Danelia stated at the plenary session in his annual report for 2021.
In the accounting period, the Agency has opened the nominal accounts in 10 commercial banks, through which the pensions have been deposited. He overviewed the investment activity of the Agency and the amount of interest, as well as the specification of the schemes.
“In 2021, we have implemented 22 new investments to the deposit certificates and the term deposits with a total amount of 518,198,866 GEL. As of December 31, 2021, 90,35% of the assets have been deposited in commercial banks with a commercial rating of at least 1 point below. Pursuant to the applicable law, the Agency does not invest in the banks without the credit ratings”,- Danelia said.
