According to the Georgian government's decision, the salary of the medical staff working in COVID clinics will be increased by 50%. The statement was made by Ekaterine Tikaradze, Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs at a press conference held at the Government Administration.
According to her, the resolution on the issue will be published today.
"Today, we decided to increase the salaries of doctors involved in COVID clinics. The salary fund and the doctors who work in COVID clinics were calculated in detail. They were divided into groups and teams. We have calculated the salaries of resuscitators, junior doctors, and nurses in 70 resuscitation positions and infectious disease specialists who are actively involved in this process and the therapists who cover this profile. A resolution will be issued today, according to which all such doctors will have an additional 50% supplement to the salary they have today," Tikaradze said.
The Minister did not specify the total budget for the increase in salaries for medical staff.
