Thea Tsulukiani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia presented the plan.
"We assume the share of culture in the economy of the country to grow from 2.8 to 5.5 percent by 2030. Share of the sector in the total employment indicator is bound to increase from 5.2 to 5.8 percent as well. Cultural tourism should reach 8 percent in collaboration with Ministries of Economy and Agriculture of Georgia" stated Thea Tsulukiani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia.
The Member of Government expressed her gratitude to the Parliament for sharing the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia, according to which the budget allocation for access to culture will be augmented with 1 million GEL. In the opinion of the Minister, a huge step has been made within the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia and with support of the Parliament of Georgia by separating the Ministry of Culture from the Ministry of Education, which will ignite the subsidiaries of the line ministries with new life.
