The state may implement Namakhvani HPP project if ENKA leaves, - said the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava at the plenary sitting of the autumn session of the Parliament of Georgia, where she was heard in the format of "Minister Hour".

According to her, the dispute in international arbitration is not started yet. The state still holds negotiations with the investor company ENKA.

“If ENKA does not stay in the project, this project can be implemented by the state in the future, which will not be bad due to the questions that arise in this regard. We may not be able to fully fulfil the project and bring some other investor. Namakhvani project has taught us a lot, as different approach and more works are needed to implement large projects," the minister said.
