Deputy Minister of Agriculture Giorgi Khanishvili declares that there is no shortage of food supplies. The deputy minister has noted it at the working meeting, held with the representatives of large trade chains and companies importing food products.
According to the Ministry, there is a delay in the supply of products due to climatic conditions in recent days, but after the situation improves, another batch of basic necessities (oil, pasta, buckwheat, fats, etc.) will arrive in the country.
"Currently, there is no shortage of food supplies in Georgia. Despite the difficult situation in the region, it is necessary to maintain a stable supply of products in the consumer market. We are working with the private sector - importers, distributors as much as possible to facilitate the search for alternative markets, smooth import of products and continuous replenishment of stocks, "- said Deputy Minister Giorgi Khanishvili.
