Soso Pkhakadze, President of the Georgian Business Association, believes shopping malls should be allowed to open temporarily on December 24.

"Businesses should be allowed to work from December 24. Initially, there has been such a promise and secondly – this is the period of large trade”, Soso Pkhakadze declares.

According to him, since the government announced that the opening would take place on December 24, the management of the malls was preparing to ensure that the opening would take place safely for that period.

"We think that they must be allowed to open and every mechanism has been worked out for that. If there is any additional need, I am sure the shopping centers will be ready to meet these requirements, "- said the President of the Georgian Business Association.
