"This summer has shown that tourism can recover soon in Georgia, but recovery is possible at the expense of individual travelers," said Givi Bitsadze, marketing manager of trip.com.
"Hotels in Tbilisi were quite busy during the summer season. As for the other seasons, which is mostly for group tourism, from my personal observation, unfortunately, it will be difficult. COVID-related restrictions also still apply and prevent bringing of large tour groups, while it is possible to accommodate over 200-300 people. COVID-related regulations must be eased, and vaccination must be mandatory. There should be taken commitment to vaccinate the public sector, which will help to increase the vaccination rate," Givi Bitsadze declares.
