Those foreigners, who are in Georgia legally on the territory of Georgia by March 14, 2020 and could not leave the country before the expiration of their legal stay in Georgia, is entitled to be present on the territory of Georgia until July 1, 2021, - the relevant amendment was made by the Government of Georgia.
According to the decree, foreigners have the right to remain on the territory of Georgia, if their presence on the territory of Georgia is caused by the following circumstances:
A) if the state of the foreign citizen was included in the high risk zone for the relevant period;
B) if the restriction at the border crossing is imposed by the relevant state;
C) if the person is at the hospital, quarantine or self-isolation due to health condition;
D) if the person fails to leave the country within the established period due to the canceled flights;
The decision is valid from January 1, 2021.
