Tamaz Daushvili, executive director of Company Dio, urges the Georgian government to introduce Green Pass immediately. The businessman published a relevant statement on his official Facebook page.

According to him, sharing responsibilities is important to avoid a high mortality rate. He notes that the pandemic is almost over in most European countries, as there is a high vaccination rate and 80% of the adult population is already vaccinated.

“I call on the government to urgently consider the introduction of Green Pass or issue the following restrictions on the unvaccinated population as soon as possible:

Those who have not been vaccinated or do not have a negative COVID- test result in the last 48 hours will be restricted from traveling by train, entering large malls, hotels, restaurants and cafes, concert and sports halls, cinemas and theaters, and government facilities. Also all private institutions will be allowed not to allow a person in the workplace who will not have a “green pass” or a negative result of the rapid test.

Friends, we all have the responsibility to save the lives of our fellow citizens as soon as possible. If we do not introduce the above restrictions, we will not get a high vaccination rate, which means sacrificing thousands of our fellow citizens to death - our grandparents, parents, sisters and brothers, children, relatives, friends, colleagues. In addition, the economy will not recover, investments will not flow, students and pupils will not be able to return to the normal educational process, adult sports life and competitions will not be resumed, and thus we will cause irreparable damage to our next generation.

I hope the NCDC will do its utmost to convince the government in the effectiveness of introducing the above restrictions. Time can’t wait, action is needed!” Tamaz Daushvili writes on his Facebook page.
