Today Georgia celebrates Independence Day. The Government of Georgia has planned various events throughout the country.
According to the Government Administration, the following events are planned today:
11:00 - Exhibition spaces will be opened on Rustaveli Avenue and in 16 cities;
12:00 - Ceremony of Taking the Oath - Freedom Square;
20:30 - Concert at Republic Square;
Georgian government will hold musical and theatrical performances, historical exhibitions; Georgian-folk corners and sports activities will be arranged.
In addition, competitions, children's performances and exhibition-sales will be organized. In addition, various ministries will be represented in the cities: Rustavi, Mtskheta, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Telavi, Marneuli, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Akhalkalaki, Batumi, Ambrolauri, Mestia and Chiatura.
Ceremony of taking the oath will take place in 5 regions: Kakheti - village Mataani; Poti - port; Khevsureti -Gudanis Jvari; Dmanisi; Guria - Shemokmedi.
