The country awaits the gradual opening of the economy from February 1, along with the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

According to Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and the Director-General of the Infectious Diseases Center Tengiz Tsetsvadze, the first batch of vaccines (30 thousand doses) will be shipped before late February and healthcare workers will be vaccinated at the first stage.

It is important that Sebastian Molineus, World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus promises to help bring the vaccine to Georgia, adding that the bank plans to implement other projects in the country.
