Georgia has received 266,544 visitors in August 2021, which is a record number since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the National Tourism Administration, the tourist flow has increased by 510% compared to 2020, but the figure still remains 75% less compared to 2019. Accordingly, tourist number is recovered merely by 24.5% in August compared to 2019.

According to the National Tourism Administration, more than half of the visitors - 156,101 - arrived in the country by air in August.

1. Russia - 39 909 visitors, an increase of 809% over the previous year
2. Turkey - 34 847 visitors, an increase of 114% over the previous year
3. Ukraine - 29 372 visitors, an increase over the previous year 2849%

5. Armenia - 22,733 visitors, an increase of 161% over the previous year
6. Saudi Arabia - 16 436 visitors, an increase of 16435% over the previous year
7. Belarus - 13 494 visitors, an increase of 5678% over the previous year
8. Kazakhstan - 12 221 visitors, an increase over the previous year 2489%
9. Azerbaijan - 11 181 visitors, an increase of 198% over the previous year
10. Poland - 6 954 visitors, an increase over the previous year 12100%
11. Germany - 4,567 visitors, an increase of 962% over the previous year

In July 2021, Georgia received $ 205.3 million in revenue from international tourism, a record amount since the pandemic began. According to the National Bank of Georgia, the economy received $ 505.1 million in tourism revenue in the first seven months of this year.
