Banks operating in Georgia earned a net profit of GEL 1.97 billion in 11M2022. According to financial statements, 88% of the total profit of the sector accounts for two largest banks of the country - TBC Bank and Bank of Georgia. Among them, "TBC" is on the first place with a profit of GEL 934 million, while "Bank of Georgia" is on the second place with a profit of GEL 826 million.

The third place is occupied by Liberty Bank, which has already earned a net profit of GEL 61 million this year.

According to the consolidated data of 11 months, out of 14 commercial banks operating in the market, 3 banks are at a loss, among them, the Georgian subsidiary of VTB - "VTB Bank Georgia" has the biggest loss. "VTB" closed January-November with a loss of 72 million.

The banking sector will pay profit tax of GEL 305.9 million from the profit of 11 months to the budget.
