Top Export Markets of Georgian Mineral Waters

192,046.34 tons, worth US$ 105, 292, 100 of mineral and aerated waters have been exported from Georgia during Jan-Nov 2020. The value was 18% less as compared to the same period of the prior year. In total, mineral and aerated waters have been exported to 39 different countries during 2020, out of which Russia still remains the top export market. 
 
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, during Jan-Nov 2019, Georgia exported 205,815.75 tons worth US$ 124, 271, 190 of mineral and aerated waters. During the reporting period of the current year, in comparison with 2019, the value has dropped by 18% and shared 192,046.34 tons, or US$ 105, 292, 100. 
 
With US$ 39, 221, 310 or 69726.63 tons, Russia is the top exporter of mineral and aerated waters from Georgia. The second-largest export country was Ukraine – US$ 18, 787, 360 or 42505.63 tons. It was followed by Kazakhstan - US$ 16, 268,460 or 26750.00 tons, Lithuania - US$ 14, 045,170 or 23236.71tons, and Belarus - US$ 6,037,350 or 12419.20 tons. 

Out of the top five exporters, this year export has been reduced to Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. While Kazakhstan and Lithuania have shown growth as compared to 2019. 

This year, export to Russia was reduced by 44%, to Ukraine – 15% and to Belarus – 37%. Last year Kazakhstan imported 20557.09 tons of mineral and aerated waters from Georgia, worth US$ 14, 239, 510. So, the value of export this year has shown a 14% growth. As for Lithuania, the growth this year was much less than 1%, but still promising, since no reduction has been witnessed.
