Tornike Rizhvadze, the chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara declares that tourist flow has fully recovered to the pre-pandemic level in June. He stated about it before the government meeting of Adjara.
He said that the support of the tourism sector is important in these conditions.
"Today, I can confidently say that in the Adjara region, especially in Batumi, the tourist flows of 2019 have been fully recovered to the 2019 level. In May we had an 87% recovery and according to the data for June, tourism in Adjara is fully recovered.
Also, the airport load is increasing daily and we are adding new international destinations, more than 370 international flights will be performed every month.
At this time, it is important to ensure peace in the city and the country, maximum support for the tourism sector, and the failure that we have had in recent years must be fully remedied," - said Rizhvadze.
